I am now a certified PADI rescue diver.
This means if you go out diving with me, I will try to save you if you are having a diving emergency. Not that I wouldn't have tried before.
Took the course at Beyond the Reef with Dave as the Instructor and with fellow student Morgan the dive guide. It took four days- two half days and 2 full days- and required first aid and CPR certification ahead of time (did those in DC last winter).
Unrelated: I can now go out diving with 6 lbs of weights (no wet suit).
